Thanks to everyone who came out for the screenwriters event.
Barnes & Noble was chaotic and crowded. Imagine our surprise when we arrived to find there was an author there for a book signing, and a convention of gamers playing the board game "GO", all on the same night as our event.
Still, everyone was able to find a quiet corner and write some clever scenes. We met some great new people, wrote some funny scenes, and had a good time.
Here are some of the scenarios writers had to choose from:
- A woman shoplifts because she is in love with the mall's security guard.
- A librarian with Tourette syndrome must convince a patron to be quiet in the library.
- The family pet releases a genie from a bottle and is granted three wishes.
- A person is about to jump off the Golden Gate bridge. When they pick up the suicide hotline phone they are connected to the wrong number.
- A ghost who can't move on joins a self-help group.
